Seventh Annual Thresholds, Feb 22-24, 2008
The annual THRESHOLDS ARTS FESTIVAL to a Culture of Peace
will come again to the Drake Neighborhood of Des Moines Friday-Sunday, Feb. 22-24, 2008. Building on the success of previous events, the 2008 Thresholds Festival will feature Odetta and Susan Werner.
The Thresholds Arts Festival in the Drake Neighborhood uses arts events and special speakers to increase understanding of the Six Points of U.N.E.S.C.O. Culture of Peace Pledge, which strengthens the culture of peace in communities:
1.) Respect All Life
2.) Reject Violence
3.) Share with Others
4.) Listen to Understand
5.) Preserve the Planet
6.) Rediscover Solidarity
